Everyone enjoys it, everyone loves it but most of them already know that it not good for health at all. The thing I am talking about are junk food. So according to google junk food is "pre-prepared or packaged food that has low nutritional value" and it not all about that. Consumption of junk food has other health consequences also. What is exactly junk food ?

Like discussed before junk food is not exactly food made out of junk. In this fast moving world some people have no time to cook their meals and enjoy homemade food. Although some people might have the good luck of having meals made by their mother or anyone else but this is not the case with everyone out there. Most of the people travel a long distance everyday in order to reach their respective workplace and this leaves them with no time to cook food so they consume food easily available in quick service restaurant viz. McDonalds, Subway and etc.

The reasons for most of the people opting for it might be
1. Easily and readily available food.
2. Cheap Food.
3. Amazing taste.
Although Junk Food taste better than any other food items out there but this taste comes with a lot of health risks.

Junk Foods are readily available food which is primarily not made in house and have high amount of saturated fats and carbs which makes them high in calories and lack necessary nutrients sometimes.

Health Risks of Junk Food

There is nothing specifically one harmful effect of junk foods, there is a range of health issues you might get when you consume on daily basis. Many health risks are accompanied on daily consumption of food such as burger, pizza, sandwich, nuggets and all other food items you probably have  guessed right now.

The health risks associated with consuming junk food are categorized as Mild and Severe just for understanding purpose.

Mild

All the problems list are not mild technically but are not as life threatening than the severe one we will discuss later on.

Junk food have high amount of sodium in it. As we consume this large amount of sodium,

1.this causes excess of water to be retained in order to main the concentration of it which further leads to puffiness.

2. Increased sodium levels will increase the blood pressure. If consumed daily this will lead to problems related to blood pressure.

3. Sometimes high amount sodium is responsible for headaches for some people.

Severe

As junk foods are high in carbs and saturated fats, this results in high in calories which might lead to

1.Weight gain in some people. This weight is not healthy in any sense. Only fat is stored in your body rather than increase in muscle mass or bone density or any other healthy weight gain.

2. The saturated fats and LDL cholesterol are worst thing to have for a patient suffering heart problems. If you don't have heart problems, consuming junk food for long time might give you.

3. Most of the carbs present in junk food is sugar rather than complex carbs. This sugar intake is not beneficial in the first place and the consumption of it will spike the insulin. Diabetic patients should avoid junk food.

Aside all these teenagers are more prone to get acne if the consume fast/junk food on daily basis. Even small consumption might should an acne or two.
