So for an average person who is not into bodybuilding and fitness they take less care over their diet and tend to avoid taking appropriate measure while consuming it. For an average person the majority of the calories comes from Carbs and the remaining comes from Protein and fats. This might be obvious that consuming fat causes fat gain but no. The fat that is stored in the body which is causing weight gain the first place comes from Carbs.

There is a detailed study regarding this in medicine. Well we are not going that deep into that topics. So for know consider Carbs as the Culprit. 

How to full fill daily caloric intake for fat loss

So for weight you need to definitely eat calorie deficit i.e. less food than required by your body. Even slight reduction in maintaince calories will show great results. Now you can replace calories from carbs with calories from protein or fat since since it might mess up with you digestion and other stuffs. Fruit Juices should be avoided also in order to lose weight.

There is no need to replace carbs again. The only thing you need to remember is that you should consume carbohydrates which have low glycemic Index i.e. Complex Carbs. 

Sources of Complex carbs are Oats, Whole wheat food, Sweet Potato, Quinoa, Beans and grains and banana but in optimum amount.

Remember even if you are consuming complex carbs you need to consume it in caloric deficit. If you go with caloric surplus or maintenance calories then there will be no weight loss. The other nutrients such as Protein, Good Fats, Vitamin, Mineral and etc should not be avoided in order to lose weight since it might cause serious issues and might make you susceptible to disease.
