Healthy and high protein snack recipes | Quick Snack recipes

Hello there amazing people. It might become boring while staying at home for such a long time. To be honest, most of us even after knowing that fast food and junk food are harmful, we use to consume them as snack or cheat meal. Because what is happening worldwide, it has became difficult for all of us to get the same kind of tasty food as snack. But there is no need to worry for snack anymore. In this article we will not only discuss the snacks and their recipe but also discuss how healthy these snacks are. So if you want to know all the healthy snacks mentioned in this article please read till the end.

Recipe 1

Paneer tikka is an amazingly quick to make and delicious snack. It has its origin in India. Paneer tikka is sometimes considered a luxury meal like Murgh Musallam, but making paneer tikka is not that complicated at all. If you are bored of eating that barbeque chicken then you should try this one sometime soon. You won't regret having it.
Paneer tikka

Ingredients :

Paneer/Cottage cheese (200g), Red Chili Powder(3 tsp), Turmeric Powder (2 tsp), Garam Masala (3 tsp), Lemon juice (1 Whole lemon), Capsicum (1 Chunk sized), Onion (1 Chunk sized) ,skewer, salt and oregano (Optional).

Recipe :

1) First cut the paneer into cube sized pieces.
2) Take 2 Tbsp Olive oil and add all the spices including salt and mix.
3) Add all the paneer pieces into the mixture and let it marinate for 30min or an hour. You could add the capsicum and onions to mixture as well to enhance the taste.
4) Now pierce through the capsicum, onion and paneer and stack them up on a skewer.
5) Now grill the the stuffing of skewer on a barbeque. If you do not have a barbeque you can still cook them on stove as well with the help of a grill but I would suggest that you should make it on barbeque, as the smoke to the tikka add amazing flavor to it.

This might seem an overkill of fats by seeing the list of spices and amount oil used in it. But this one is more healthier than the regular pizza. If you use low fat paneer then you could definitely cut the amount of fats,

Recipe 2

For some people out there who are trying to have low carbs diet would not prefer this one also but if you can have cheat meal, then you should try this one out. This recipes is definitely high in carbs but does not lacks healthy nutrients like protein.
Calzone

Ingredients :
Homemade Pizza dough (100g), Chicken Breast mince (150g),Red Chili Powder(1 tbsp), Turmeric Powder (1 tbsp), Garam Masala (1 tbsp), Cumin seeds (a pinch), Oil (as required or 2tbsp), Garlic paste (1 tbs), bay leaf (1 piece), Pizza Sauce(2 tbsp), Low fat Cheese (Optional), Oregano (optional).

Recipe :ny
1) First add the oil to the hot pan and when it is hot add the cumin seed and bay leaf and saute for some times.
2) Now add the Garlic paste and mix thoroughly followed by the spices.
3) Add small amount of salt than required to pan as there is already salt present in pizza sauce.
4) After 1 min add the chicken mince and let it get cooker half way through.
5) Now roll the pizza dough with the help of a rolling pin and apply pizza sauce all over and spread the low fat cheese if you want and sprinkle some oregano.
6) Fill the chicken mince filling in the half of the dough as it would appear semi circular and fold it from the half and bake it one 180 degrees for 10-15 mins.

This recipe does packs a lot of gluten and carbs but complete protein is present in the dish as chicken breast mince is used.

Recipe 3

If you are fitness freak then you might have tried natural peanut butter once or if you have tried honey peanut butter then you might know delicious those peanut butter are with honey add in them. Well in this recipe we will not be using honey, instead we will use caramel sauce to enhance the taste. All most every caramel sauce has high amount of sugar in it and for your surprise sugar is the actual ingredient used in making caramel. So if you want to have this snack then please do not consume it on daily basis as high sugar consumption is not good for health.
Caramel Peanut Butter Sandwich (representation)

Ingredients :

Sugar Free Mixed Fruit Jam (1 tbsp), Natural unflavored peanut butter (2tbsp), Caramel sauces (1/2 tbsp), 2 Slices of Brown bread.

Recipe :

1) Apply the peanut butter on one side of a bread .
2) Apply Mixed Fruit Jam on one side of the other slice of bread.
3) Before making the sandwich apply caramel sauce on the bread which has peanut butter applied on it.
4) Make the sandwich.

Recipe 4

Now a salty and spicy sandwich after the sweet one. This sandwich is having more saturated fats than the previous one but has high amount of protein in it. We will be using paneer as a key ingredient in this one. Paneer being a vegetarian foods has all essential amino acid in it.
Paneer Bhurji Sandwich


Ingredients :

Mashed Paneer (50g), Turmeric(1 tsp), Red Chili Powder (1 tsp), Garam Masala (1 tsp), 
Salt (1 tsp), Oregano (as per taste), Tomato Ketchup (1 tbsp), Onion Sliced (1/2 onion),  Bread Slices(2 pieces).

Recipe :
1) First add oil in the pan and the spices and saute. Note that the spices should not burn up.
2) Now add the paneer and mix thoroughly.
3) Add the ketchup in the mix and mix thoroughly.
4) Now use this mixture as fillings and place it on the bread with some onion slices and cover it up with the other bread slice and grill it on sandwich grill for a minute or so.
